I got this in an email recently. It’s supposed to be quotes from either the former or current Australian Prime Minister. It’s been around the net a few times and I’d be surprised if it actually came verbatim from the mouth of either of them.

However, I don’t care, its philosophy is spot-on. Gordon Brown and the liberal, PC, namby-pamby British Thought Police should read it and inwardly digest its message.

Quote: “IMMIGRANTS, NOT AUSTRALIANS, MUST ADAPT. Take It Or Leave It. I am tired of this nation worrying about whether we are offending some individual or their culture. Since the terrorist attacks on Bali, we have experienced a surge in patriotism by the majority of Australians.”

“This culture has been developed over two centuries of struggles, trials and victories by millions of men and women who have sought freedom. We speak mainly ENGLISH, not Spanish, Lebanese, Arabic, Chinese, Japanese, Russian, or any other language. Therefore, if you wish to become part of our society, learn the language!”

“Most Australians believe in God. This is not some Christian, right wing, political push, but a fact, because Christian men and women, on Christian principles, founded this nation, and this is clearly documented. It is certainly appropriate to display it on the walls of our schools. If God offends you, then I suggest you consider another part of the world as your new home, because God is part of our culture.”

“We will accept your beliefs, and will not question why. All we ask is that you accept ours, and live in harmony and peaceful enjoyment with us.”

“This is OUR COUNTRY, OUR LAND, and OUR LIFESTYLE, and we will allow you every opportunity to enjoy all this. But once you are done complaining, whining, and griping about Our Flag, Our Pledge, Our Christian beliefs, or Our Way of Life, I highly encourage you take advantage of one other great Australian freedom: THE RIGHT TO LEAVE.”

“If you aren’t happy here then LEAVE. We didn’t force you to come here. You asked to be here. So accept the country YOU accepted.”

Whether or not it was said by any Aussie PM, current or not, I’d say that it is simple, down-to-earth advice to any would-be immigrant looking to settle in any country other than their own.

Basically, fit in or f-off!

I’ll just sit here and wait for the flak now.

The unfortunate demise of Princess Diana. Was it an accident? Was the driver drunk? Was she pregnant? Was she murdered? Was there a conspiracy involving her ex-husband? Had the car been tampered with?

I’m afraid I (and most of the sane world no doubt!) have long ago got to the point where I have to say: ‘Who gives a sh*t?’

Yes, she was the most famous woman in the world. And yes, the world mourned her as if she were a saint. But there are hundreds of people who have died before and since in much more suspicious circumstances. Where’s the never-ending press coverage and demands for justice and truth for them?

To rake up all the old conspiracy theories yet again and have another inquest now, which is going to take many months, or most probably years, is a complete and utter waste of time and money. It is not going to reveal anything new.

I’m not being dis-respectful, it is tragic when anyone dies before their time but enough’s enough. We need to treat these endless conspiracy theories, headlines and sensationalism with the contempt they deserve and concentrate on the stark facts:

The woman has been dead for over ten years.

She died in an unfortunate car accident while not wearing a seat belt and while being driven too fast by a Frenchman.

I rest my case, m’lud.

If the car had hit six feet either side of the pillar they would probably have all got out and said, “Phew, that was a bit hairy – now where’s the bar?”

That’s it, end of story. Now let her and this whole episode rest in peace. Pleeeease!
