Well, I’ve finally done it! After three years of making websites, some for myself, many more for others, I’ve decided that the world needs to hear my voice and I’ve started a blog.

Welcome to Lifting the Lid, my (sometimes warped) slant on the world and what goes on in and around it. I hope you find it informative, or enlightening, or aggravating, or just plain annoying!

If it provokes a reaction then I’ll have done what I set out to do.

It’s my intention that it should at least be a bloody good read and spark off a bit of lively debate. So don’t just sit on the fence, that’s where the boring masses are. Jump off and get stuck in!

Either side, it doesn’t matter. Just get involved. Agree. Disagree. Bill and coo. Rant and rave. Anything but sit there on that post-and-rail waiting for the farmer to shoot your butt off!

I can’t promise you political correctness, that’s for sandal-wearing liberals. I can’t promise you sexual equality, God never intended men to be Her equal anyway. And if that last sentence offended your religious beliefs then I suggest you leave now, you’re in the wrong place my friend.

If you’re also offended by the “f” word maybe you should think about getting out more! I’ll try not to use it too often but it will be there now and again so watch what your kids are reading.

I’m not trying to be deliberately provocative, I’m just telling it like it is. Sometimes I get it right, sometimes I talk a load of bollocks, I just don’t want you to be surprised by anything you may not want your Granny to see.
